Welcome to Lambda Delta- Leadership Development
Lambda Delta (LD) is a program that was brought to the Texas State University campus in fall 2009 by the former IFC Executive Vice President (who is now the current IFC President), Derek Nelson. He learned about the Lambda Delta leadership development program from a national conference that the IFC members attend each year. He saw the organization's structure and saw that something similar to their program would be potentionally successful at Texas State.
Just two Lambda Delta pledge classes later, and the program has already stirred up attention and is an on-going success. The skills that current members have acquired are propelling many new members to excel in both their own chapters and other on-campus organizations. Lambda Delta holds new members to a higher standard than previously expected of them. It gives them old knowledge and presents new challenges not typically faced by new members.
